I would suggest keeping a good symptoms history to try to pinpoint the cause. When the bleeding occurs, note any recent use of soaps or other products near the labia, recent intercourse/sex play/masturbation, and recent use of napkins/pads/tampons. I wonder this: can you see the tear, but it's healed by the time you get to the doctor's office?

Did this just show up, or is it possible that you just noticed it and it's been there a while? In either case, you can ask your doctor about it. She may have noted it in your chart in the past and may be able to reassure you on the phone, but if she and you did not notice it in the past, a checkup would be worthwhile.
