Does anyone feel like I do?From: Judy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 28 Sep 1999 16:38:43 -0500 (CDT)
Here's my symptoms in a nutshell: Fever of unknown origin, chronic microscopic hematuria and pyuria, chronic flank pain, irregular menstrual periods (spotting just about everyday), nausea, and pelvic heaviness at times. I had a diagnostic laparoscopy last August which showed "nothing". I am 31 years old and have never been pregnant. I just recently had a pelvic ultrasound which showed endometrial thickening. Is this normal for someone my age? I am a nurse and I believe there is a good possibility of endometriosis. However, finding someone where I live (Ohio-West Virginia area) who specializes in endometriosis is almost obsolete. If anyone could recommend a physician in this area I would be grateful. This whole process has been going on for about 5 years, and I am really getting tired. Any kind of information or comparisons would be much appreciated. I'm already being followed by an infectious disease specialist and urologist. Thanks! Judy
