Painful Clitoris

I see that others have posted messages about this problem, but I see no ANSWERS. What can cause severe pain of the clitoris? For 3 weeks now I have had this pain. At times it feels like a raw nerve. There is no redness or other sign of irritation. The culture came back negative. Antibiotics didn't help, yeast infection medicine didn't help, Xylocaine doesn't help. Can anyone out there help?

I find it hard to believe that so many women have had problems with clitoral pain and there have been no answers. Please, isn't there someone out there who KNOWS. My doctor is stumped, too. Clitoral pain that sometimes feels like a raw nerve. No redness or signs of irritation, just pain. Culture comes back negative. Antibitics don't help, yeast infection meds don't help, Xylocaine doesn't help . . . can anyone out there help??
