Nausea on birth control pills is a common side effect in the beginning of use. If it continues beyond the first three cycles, sometimes decreasing the estrogen content can help. Your gynecologist took this approach. If that hasn't worked, and if you've tried taking the pill before bed and on a full stomach, then you might ask your gynecologist if another pill change is in order, or you might weigh the benefits of taking the pill against this pain-in-the-neck side effect. I doubt that the problem is related to diabetes or high blood pressure.
