abnormal bleedingFrom: Cheyla (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 24 Sep 1999 11:44:08 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, I'm 20 years old and I have a normal monthly cycles and two weeks ago, as normal, I had my monthly period and today I am bleeding again more heavier than when I normally have my period. This is the first time such a thing has happened. I'm not taking birth control pills and the only medications I am on is for my asthma. There hasn't been any major medical problems except for chronic back pain which I have episodes of every four months or so that occured all day yesterday which I don't think is connected to this since they seem to be unrelated. Yesterday, along with the back pain, I felt like the insides of my abdomen were being ripped apart but I thought it was because of the back pain. I have noticed that after sex I have the same sharp, stabbing pain in the right side of my abdomen that doesn't allow me to move and hurts until I take some type of pain killer like Motrin. I'm not sexually active now so I know that the cause for this bleeding is not from that. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, -Cheyla
