Mircette's been designed to help with menstrual migraines. The most common migraine trigger in women is their menses; Mircette hopes to circumvent this by having a shorter "pill free" or placebo period. Some women get relief from migraines by decreasing the amount of estrogen in the pill. If no combination pill helps, perhaps you'll get contraception without migraines by using a progesterone-only method like progesterone-only pills, DepoProvera, or Norplant. The IUD might also be an option for you. What is your doctor suggesting that you try next?
