In general, you can do anything that doesn't hurt, though you should avoid lifting anything that weighs more than 20# or so, and aerobic exercise is going to be difficult given your low hemoglobin levels, and should be undertaken with extreme caution until your blood is built back up. There is no reason to be confined to bed, as long as you are not dizzy when you stand (which your doctor needs to know about by the way), nor even to the house, as long as you take it easy, and have someone to help you if you get too tired, which you almost certainly will.
