Would encourage a second opinion!! A hysteroscopic resection of a septum can be very straight forward in experienced hands. It is not a procedure IMHO that an inexperienced novice hysteroscopist should attempt. The only advice that a more senior surgeon could offer would be based on his/her appraisal of the uterine cavity as seen on the TV monitor. The actual resection would be done by the person handling the resectoscope. If one has not developed the manipulative skills from prior operative hysteroscopy, a much less than optilmal result can occur, as this can be a formidible task.
