I am not a medical professional, but I do have Endo and possibly Adenomyosis, so I thought I would take a stab at this one....

My doctor, who is one of the Endo Specialists in the country, told me that he could do endometrial biopsies, but it is like throwing a dart. Sometimes you are lucky, and hit the bulls eye, and other times you don't. That doesn't necessarily mean that you don't have Adenomyosis, but what it means is it wasn't at that site that was biopsied. So, unless your uterus is completely obliterated with Adenomyosis, it may not show up on biopsy. My doctor went on to say that the only sure way to know is when one has a hysterectomy and it shows up in the pathology report. He was not advocating that I have a hysterectomy, just telling me the definitive way of being diagnosed.

In the meantime, I will keep my symptoms of Adeno, AND my uterus!!!!

I hope this has helped.

Good luck to you!!
