SEVERE PAIN IN LOWER RIGHT ABDOMEN 2-3 DAYS AFTER PERIODFrom: AMY (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 14 Sep 1999 12:59:05 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, My name is Amy. I am 32 years old. I have had a cyst removed off my left ovary, tubal ligation, bladder tack and endometrial ablation done. I have a lot of problem with cyst and used to take birth control pills until I had my tubal ligation. I am now having (for past 3 months) severe pain in my lower right abdomen that sometimes radiates into my lower back. The last time being so severe that I had to take 10 darvacets to get any relief. I have had an IVP and CT scan done to rule out kidney stones. I have had an ultrasound done that only revealed a cyst on my left ovary. The CT scan did (according to radiologist) show some reaction in my right side along with scar tissue from previous surguries. My doctor is wanting to do a laproscopy and hysterscopy to see if he can locate the cause of the pain but aslo told me not to be surprised if nothing was found. I was wondering if you had any ideas on what could be causing this pain or how to alleviate it? Thank you for your time.
