Bleeding 17 days apart isn't normal is it?

I'm wondering if anyone might help me with this.I will try to give all the information I think is is relavant in my case.

Between 8/95 and 9/97 I gave birth to three children.None of them twins. All vaginal births. With my third, I breastfed, and indeed I am still breastfeeding once a day.And because of this, I didn't start a monthly period after her birth untill January of this year.Which would have been 16 or so months after I gave birth to her.

Untill recently all was going normally. I had a 28-32 days cycle. Then I would say late may the days started dwindaling a bit.And last month I had two normal periods 17 days apart.I am on day 14 right now.

I don't have any STD's, normal weight, I'm not on any form of perscription birthcontrol (or any other medications), and I've been perfectly healthy reproductive wise untill now. There is no odd colored discharge or scent, or anything like that.I do however have a "knot?" on my cervix that I need checked out.( It's tiny about the half the size of a regular zit, for lack of a better description) . The periods have been for the most part as normal as they were before I became pregnant.5-6 days. Moderate heavy to light during the duration of my period.

I will also mention, and I have no idea if this has any baring or not, that in January of this year I underwent a Lithotripsy <sp> to break-up a Kidney Stone.I fear though, that I may have developed another one because I am having the same symptoms I had before the breaking up of the stone.Pain around the Kidney's, Sharp pains in my bladder etc.Like I said, I have no idea if these two things would be connected or not.. but since they are so close together in the body, and the problems I am having are happening at the same time.. I wonder if they are connected, or weather one is just a phantom of the other problem.

I am 21 y/o and really hating going through all these problems!:)I do plan on making an appointment with my GP soon.(Waiting for new insurance to kick in)

So now that I've given you half my life story, my question(s) are these. Can it be normal to have periods 17 days apart? Would it be normal in my case? If not is there any possiblities as to what it might be?

I truly apreciate any and all information , and help I might receive.Thank-you so much!
