Pregnancy, Cervical Cancer, Cervical Tear, Excessive Bleeding....From: jillw (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 29 Aug 1999 20:01:48 -0500 (CDT)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm a 30 yr old mother of 4--ages 7 yrs, 5 yrs, 4 yrs, 2 1/2 yrs--all -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- are about 15-17 months apart. Before I had children I had Cervical -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cancer. Had a Laser Cone Biopsy done and 2 wks later got pregnant. Needless to say, my cervix never healed properly. All of my children came about 1 month early, but thankfully were healthy. When I got pregnant with my 3rd child, I spotted at first then passed clots early on in the pregnancy. After that, I would just spot all the time, but she was born healthy. When I had my 4th child, he came so fast my cervix didn't have time to dialate fully, my cervix tore--with much pain!! After giving birth I had TERRIBLE cramping, and TERRIBLE pain in my cervical area. I bled longer than usual afterwards and cramped even longer. Since then, my periods are very heavy and I pass clots (quarter-egg size) at least for the first 4-7 days. My total period lasts 9-12 days. The doctor has tried estrogen to "fake" menopaus, didn't work. Of course tried "the pill", didn't help. Doctor did DNC, was o.k for 2 months, now back to the same old thing. I have much pain with intercourse, much cramping with periods for 4-7 days. Everytime we have intercourse I bleed for 2-4 days after, as if another period. This is very frustrating and need some expert advice! Please!! I'm sick of the doctors looking at me as though I'm a nut. Thanx....Jill
