can BCPs cause leg cramps?From: Julia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 24 Aug 1999 07:42:01 -0500 (CDT)
I very much want the pill to work for me but I'm having 2 problems with it (I think) that I'd like advice on. I am 30 and took Triphasil 7 months, then switched to Alesse 2 months ago. My problems are: 1. I get a lot of mild cramps in my lower legs. Could this be pill related? I've only noticed it while on the pill, and it diminishes during my placebo week. 2. I continue to have breast pain. It is not the tenderness I initially experienced (1st 5 months) but a dull, annoying ache. I can live with it, but I'd rather not. I know Alesse is the lowest dose there is, so I'm wondering if I'm stuck with this (unless we go back to condoms which I'd rather not). I have minimal caffiene, I exercise 4x a week, and am overall healthy. I'm happy w/ the pill otherwise, especially since it's eliminated my PMS. Thanks so much.
