What are some other possible causes for clitoral pain? For more information on symptoms and treatment of endometriosis visit www.EndometriosisZONE.org. From: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 20 Aug 1999 02:20:19 -0500 (CDT)
For about the last month I have been getting pain in my clitoris. I've had some recent problems with vaginal/vulvar irritation, but when that started I didn't have the pain, but did have some burning. I was given some xylocaine cream to use, and when I was finished with it I was told to take a break. About two weeks after I finished the xylocaine I was diagnosed with a yeast infection and treated accordingly. About 2 days before I started the treatment for the yeast infection is when I started to notice the clitoral pain. About a week after the pain has remained. I try not to use underwear unless I have to go out of my house b/c of how irritated this area is. I have been doing this for a little over a month and it seems to help some. Currently I have been using KY Jelly and Premarin cream mixed together to treat the vaginal/vulvar irritation. It had been several weeks since the burning stopped, but a few days ago the burning started up again. Early Wed a.m. I was hurting real bad. I called the dr's office later that day to make the dr aware of the pain that I was having. B/c of how busy they have been the last couple of days I have not been able to get an answer to what I should be doing to relieve the pain. While I wait for that answer, I have a question that I hope can be answered. What are some other possible causes for clitoral pain? Sorry this is so long, but this problem has gone on for quite a while. Thanks in advance to whoever can answer this question. Kristy :) http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/Falls/4659/kristyspage.html
