It sound like you might have had an allergic reaction to spermicide, or it might be a problem with that particular brand of condom. I have yet to find a spermicide on the market other than nonoxynol-9, although another allegedly exists. If you'd like to experiment, you can pick up some spermicide alone, and try it without the condom. This plan has an obvious and itchy down-side! Also, make sure your partner washes his hands prior to intercourse; the worst allergic reaction I ever saw was related to post-Mexican dinner sex -- jalapeno juice on the partner's fingers was the suspected culprit.

Please call *today* to make an appointment for an exam, including a Pap smear and testing for sexually transmissible infections. You can discuss birth control and disease prevention options as well. This appointment is an important part of sexual responsibility.
