When you miss pills, you may have such irregular bleeding. You should continue your pills, regardless of the bleeding. After missing two pills, you should use a back up method of birth control (for instance, abstaining from vaginal sex or using condoms with spermicide) for at least seven days after the missed pills. If the bleeding does not stop when you start your next pack of pills, you should make an appointment with the person who prescribed the pills.
