I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter, am 29 years old and have had three miscarriages since October (all between 5-7 weeks). I also have had continuous abnormal paps since my daughter was born, and been treated with cryosurgeries that have not corrected the abnormal cells. (It is known that recurrent yeast infections can cause these irregularities.) With regard to the miscarriages, I've had lots of other tests done (Lupus anti-coagulant, thyroid, etc. -- all have been normal). The one thing that seems to possibly be the culprit is candida. I am currently on an anti-yeast diet, and a daily dose of 4 tablets of Nystatin (an anti-yeast medication). I've been advised to do this for 4-6 mos and then try again, my doctor is not guaranteeing that this is the culprit, but suggests that overall, the candida is playing havoc in many of my systems. If you have a doctor who believes in this as a real condition, and will treat you for it, I suggest that you see him/her. If not, I've found the book The Yeast Syndrome by John Parks Trowbridge, MD and Morton Walker, DPM to be a great source of information and direction as to how to modify my diet to feel better. I did find one area in this book, that suggests the possibility of a correlation between candida problems and an anti-ovarian reaction, where your own cells will have an immune response to early cell division(?!?!) I am researching this further. It also has a listing in the back of doctors who do treat patients for this condition. Lots of luck, I'll write again if I learn anything else.
