Shorter-than-usual periods are not uncommon with birth control pills, even if you've been on them for some time. Had you missed any pills? Do you have any symptoms of pregnancy? If you are in doubt, you should certainly have a pregnancy test, but your symptoms do not necessarily indicate pregnancy or miscarriage.
