ultrasound at 8 wks showing slow embryo heart rateFrom: amanda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 12 Aug 1999 13:13:26 -0500 (CDT)
I am 36 and have had 2 miscarriages and 3 healthy babies. I am 8 weeks pregant and just had an abdominal ultra sound which showed the embryo's heart rate to be 92 and the gestational sac to be small, there is no doubt about when I conceived so I realize the results are not good. I have 2 questions: (1)I had an empty bladder at the time of the scan could this have affected the reading? (could the sonographer have gotten my pulse and could the sac size have been distorted) and (2)I have SVT and take Lanoxin every day could this have affected the embryo's heart rate and/or development?
