My MD is pushing for an endometrial biopsy and D & C. I'm 47, still have mostly regular periods, and the CA125 was normal. I do have a fibroid with 8 weeks size uterus. Can anyone tell me if the above symptoms and findings are alarming as far as endometrial cancer is concerned? I'm quite anxious about this, especially since he wants to do the biopsy. Is this the expected next step? What percentage of endometrial biopsies show uterine cancer? Is the percentage low given the above scenario? Has anyone else had this profile with biopsy and no CA?
