complications of salpingitis

Two months ago I was diagnosed with salpingitis. Two and half weeks ago I experienced severe abdominal pain which lasted several hours. It was relieved after I felt a popping sensation and a sharp spasm. When I returned home (I was out of town) I realized that my cervix was lower than normal and that I had a large numb spot on my abdomin and that I also had weakness in my abdomin. I am unable to lift my legs together when on my back, I am unable to do sit-ups, and after walking a short distance I feel like I've run a marathon. I went to my gyn and he didn't notice any uterine displacement and he told me if I experience any more muscle weakness or growing numbness that he'll get me in to see a neurologist to rule out ALS or MS. I really don't think I have a neurological disorder. I really think that somehow the fallopian tube infection somehow led to a muscle tear. I want to know what physician I should visit about this problem. Should I see a neurologist, a general surgeon, or many a doctor at a sports clinic since I think it's muscle damage. I really got the impression from my gyn that this problem is unrelated to the infection and I want to know if it could be related, however rare. Thank you, Dianne
