Tetracyclene for Adult AcneFrom: Lisa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 4 Aug 1999 13:05:34 -0500 (CDT)
I'm 28 years old and since Feb. I've had problems with "bumps" (some blackheads, others just appear to be blocked pores) on my cheeks, chin and forehead. I've tried many topical medications and nothing seems to help. Now my dermatologist has me on 500 mgs tetracyclene per day. I'm in my second week of this medication and I've seen no change - the nurse told me it could take up to six weeks. I don't have severe acne, but it's enough to bother me as I haven't had much trouble with my skin in the past. Has anyone had success with tetracyclene for adult acne that can boost my spirits a bit? (I had a horrible reaction to Ortho-tricyclen so please don't suggest it!) Thanks for your advice...........
