I realize you may have already left for vacation, but I'll post anyway. A few tips: If you are a virgin, it is typically easier to get slender tampons. They still absorb well, but are easier to insert. It is easiest to stand up with legs slightly apart while inserting the tampon. It may help to set a mirror on the toilet and stand over it, this will allow you to see where you're aiming. Each person is different "down there", so it's hard to generalize on how to insert the tampon. Aim towards the small of your back, you may need to adjust the tampon around to feel where it will slide in correctly. The clitoris has nothing to do with a tampon, so don't worry. It's hard to get particular because everyone is different. Basically, keep in mind how much more convienent this will be and realize it's worth the extra trouble the first time. It gets easier!
