I realize you may have already left for vacation, but I'll post anyway. A few tips: If you are a virgin, it is typically easier to get slender tampons. They still absorb well, but are easier to insert. It is easiest to stand up with legs slightly apart while inserting the tampon. Each person is different "down there", so it's hard to generalize on how to insert the tampon. Aim towards the small of your back, you may need to adjust the tampon around to feel where it will slide in correctly. It's hard to get particular because everyone is different. Basically, keep in mind how much more convienent this will be and realize it's worth the extra trouble the first time. It gets easier! Good luck and have a fun vacation!
