Susan, Hi, I have been told after tests, I have fibroids. My periods are 10-12 days, very heavy, and very painful. This is not cramping, but a continual lower pelvic pain. I also have pressure on the bladder. However, my obgyn. did inform me that the pain was from one large fibroid behind the lining of my uterus. Now the discussion of what procedure to go with. My of has suggested a laparoscopic hysterectomy. Cervix and uterus. I am still not sure. I have heard that endometrial abalion is an option. Regards, Carol(Toronto, Canada)
