Swollen ankles a PMS Symptom?

Hi, I am 42 and have had normal periods and "mild" PMS (chocolate cravings, tender breasts) all my life.

My last 3 menstrual cycles, I had VERY swollen ankles the last 3-4 days before my period began. It's actually as bad as it was during a ninth month of pregnancy in 110 degree heat!

I live in Arizona and our weather is actual not as hot this summer, and I have had no changes to any meds. I take for the last few years.

Is this a perimenopausal type thing? Is it Normal or do I need to goin to see my GP or Gyn?

Right now I am expecting my period and my ankles are swollen and feel tight and I have some wrist swelling.
