The EDC of 3/18/00 is based on the first day of your last menstrual period, as this is the standard method for dating pregnancies. As we all know, ovualtion is not until 2 weeks later, give or take a bit, but we use a standard protocol for all pregnancies so that we can compare apples with apples so to speak. Remember, this system is only accurate to +/- 2 weeks anyway, so a day or two's variation is not significant. Good Luck with your pregnancy!
