Re: Post Hysterectomy EndometriosisFrom: Stephanie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 29 Jul 1999 10:51:00 -0500 (CDT)
Hey Jo, I know what you mean about the endo board...it's more of a support system for women and is sometimes hard to wade through! :-) I've got endo too and some of the best info I found is in Dr John Lee's new book, "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Premenopause...balance your hormones and your life from thirty to fifty"...Excellent info. His recommendation (with alot of info) is progesterone after surgery...he goes into it in detail...along with endo info...very good! The other thing I found in my research before surgery was that the surgeon needs to work very hard to get ALL the endo out they can find...most medications (Lupron, etc) don't actually get rid of the endo...just delay it for a while. What do you mean by a "time constraints"? Was your hyst due to endo only or for another reason? You may email me privately if you'd like to... Love and Health, Stephanie
