Irregular bleeding..From: Kris (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 28 Jul 1999 19:21:47 -0500 (CDT)
I have a daughter that will be turning 7 this September; after her birth the Dr recommended that I go on the pill. Between 1992-1997 I have probably taken 12 different kinds of birth control pills.. They are okay for 5-6 months and then my cycle seems to reverse itself. I bleed for 2-3 weeks and stop for 1 only to start again for 2-3 weeks. I have had regular paps and sonograms. I had my second child 1 year ago July 30 and have been on two different birth control pills since then with the same results as before. I finally got fed up and quit taking them; my periods seem to go back to normal when not on them... until now. I had intercourse with my husband and when I got up to go the bathroom my period started. (My period was still not due for 10 more days.) I am now getting concerned that maybe there is something wrong and no one has found it yet.. Any suggestions as to what else I can try or look into?? Thank you for listening.. P.S. My thyroid was a little abnormal but not enough to merit any concern; even though my mother is now on synthroid and they are considering putting my sister on medication also..
