Just my own experience. I've been through most stuff for migranes. Cafergot till I developed an allergy, Immitrex, Pain Killers, soaking my hands in ice water, dark quiet rooms for days at a time. Then I realized that when I was taking antidepresants I didn't get migranes. Sure enough seritone uptake inhibitors can prevent some migranes. After my last round of depression I just stayed on the Paxil at a minimal dose and no more migranes.
