You can safely take a third, or even a fourth, fifth, and sixth pack of pills in this continous manner. Originally, this is the way that the Pill was marketed, but women didn't like it because they were worried that they might be pregnant when they didn't have a period, so the placebo week was added by the manufacturers in response to that consumer pressure. Your other choice is to stop the Pill now, have your withdrawal bleed beginning in 3-4 days, hopefully ending around the time you leave on your vacation. This will not compromise any contraceptive benefits as long as you resume the active pill on schedule in one week.
