Previous message: barbara: "OBGYN.net/Editor" I have had bouts of this problem on and off for 1 year now and it is progressively getting worse. My stomach distends out and I feel like I am 6 months pregnant. I have lower pelvic abdominal pain during this and bouts of this can last up to 2 weeks. I never have it during my period and rarely the week after. I have bouts of diarreha and constipation and take fiber supplement everyday. I recently had a colonoscopy which didn't show any abnormal results. Just wondering if a female problem can produce gastrointestinal problems. During these bouts nothing I do can relieve the stomach distension or trapped gas.
