Weight and Mood and Birth control

I have a few questions for you. I am on numerous medications for bipolar depression and thyroid disease. I am also on the pill.

I have been trying to lose weight for three months now and have lost inches but not lbs. (I work out at least 3x a week for 45 minutes and watch my diet.)

I am taking Zoloft, Lithium, Klonopin, Zyprexa, Synthroid and Mircette.

Do you have any advice as to what I should do to lose weight while keeping my mood balanced? Also, I have been feeling down lately and I wonder if it's the birth control (I've only been on Mircette less than a month). Are any other forms of contraception effective other than the pill???

Please help!!!

Thank you.
