Interpreting Ultrasound InfoFrom: Ann (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 13 Jul 1999 02:09:57 -0500 (CDT)
I'm writing again because now, it's decision time! My US report states that I have a complex, cystic, left ovarian mass approx. 8cm with echogenic tissue and several irregular septa and it may be bi-loculated. There is no free fluid and my CA 125 came back as normal. What does all of this mean? Is it more likely to be benign or malignant? The fact that I'll be 48 soon seems to indicate a hysterectomy, but is that really necessary? I'd really appreciate a 3rd opinion! Thanks--Ann
