Question for the Doctors Re Adhesions

I posted previously with a question concerning pelvic adhesions and received responses from a couple of people. I guess the doctors don't respond when the question has been answered. I am wondering, however, how a gastroenterologist is able to diagnose pelvic adhesions during a colonsocopy when I'm hearing that the diagnosis can only be made with a lap.

I have never had abdominal surgery, no pelvic inflammatory disease, no STDs, nor have I had endrometriosis, but have been told by the gastroenteriogist that he had a difficult time passing the scope because of the pelvic adhesions. He also diagnosed diverticulosis.

Is it possible that this diagnosis of adhesions is accurate?
