Pelvic PainFrom: Ela (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 30 Jun 1999 22:20:38 -0500 (CDT)
I am 36 years old and in the last few years I have had 3 Laparascopy's, my Gyne diagnosed me with Endometriosis - I often had severe Pelvic pain. Just 1 month ago I had my most recent one in which my left ovarie was removed, because I had had complaints for about 2 month of severe backache and pelvic pain(mostly on the left, in the groin area). The doctor noticed some Endometriosis on the ovarie which was removed and also some fluid in the groin area which was also removed. When asked where the fluid came from, the answer was: probably from a cyst which was leaking, or from an inflammation - but nothing serious. Alot of the symptons were: lower backache, stinging sometimes on the bladder/uterus?, burning sensation on the lower left, nausea, dizziness, etc. So, now 1 month after surgery all of a sudden I have again the same pain in the same area, to say the least I am very discouraged and also frustrated. I am at a point where I don't know where to go or what to do. I have had all sort of tests done, I don't want to be told that this is due to Endometriosis, because I just don't believe that this is the reason for this misterious pain I am having. I somehow think that this fluid (which on the photo appeared to be a good size poddle) is the cause of this pain, I could be wrong? Can someone possibly give me some advise which way to turn? Your help will be much appreciated!
