Jen- Depression and PMS can go hand in hand in some women. Depending on the circumstances, women can and do develop "hormonal depression." This is not the true "clinical" depression, the one you hear talked about on TV and such, but rather a form of depression triggered by hormonal imbalances. I go through it myself each month. When my PMS begins, two weeks prior to my periods, I find that hormonal depression sets in. It makes it hard to function normally sometimes. It's not depression in the sense that one would normally think. It's a feeling of frustration, more than anything. What is your herstory? It makes it a bit easier to help if you know what else is going on with someone. Hope this has helped.
