It sounds as if you are already doing the important things, weight
control and exercise. An American Diabetic Association (ADA) diet would
be very important for your pregnancy, and for that matter, right now.
The wonderful thing about this diet is that it is the perfect diet for
any pregnant woman, not just the ones with glucose intolerance. This
makes following it a win-win situation. All of the problems that are
the result of any diabetic circumstance, including gestational diabetes,
are the result of high blood sugar levels. If you control the levels,
there is no injury.
