I'M NOT A DOCTOR BUT I CAN SHARE WITH YOU MY SITUATION. I WAS ALREADY ON FULL BEDREST WHEN MY WATER BROKE AT ABOUT 28WKS. BECAUSE OF MY HISTORY, MY DR. SENT ME TO A HOSPITAL WHICH HAS A LEVEL THREE NICU. I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR ANOTHER TWO WEEKS BEFORE I DELIVERED MY DAUGHTER. i WAS GIVEN ANTIBIOTICS TO PREVENT INFECTION AND I WAS GIVEN AN ULTRASOUND EVERY TWO DAYS TO MONITOR THE AMT OF FLUIDS REMAINING. I WAS TOLD THAT THE FLUIDS WOULD REPLINISH ITSELF AS THE BABY URINATED. DURING THOSE TWO WEEKS I WAS ALSO GIVEN STEROID SHOTS TO HELP MATURE MY DAUGHTERS LUNGS.ALTHOUGH SHE WAS BORN 2MTHS EARLY TIPPING THE SCALES AT 2LBS 11OZ, SHE IS DOING FINE.
