Sexually abuse can be difficult to detect by physical exam, even in the near past. As a sexually active adult, there would be no way whatsoever to detect evidence of abuse as a child by physical exam. What I was looking for when part of my job was to do exams on children for this purpose was evidence of inappropriate sexual experience (disrupted hymen in a 2 year old for example), sexual infections, non-sexual infections that suggest unusual handling, and microscopic healed lacerations around the labia and anus. In a sexually mature and experienced woman, these traces would be lost. I am sorry!
