postsurgical adhesionFrom: madeleine (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 6 Jun 1999 07:23:03 -0500 (CDT)
Five months after my hysterectomy I developed intense pain on my left side, below my rib cage, radiating across my back to the right side. It feels as if something is squeezing my kidneys (except the pain is below where these organs are supposed to be located.) I went to urgent care and was told I may have adhesions from the surgery because all the tests for kidney stones, etc. were OK. A muscle relaxer injection worked. Yet when I attempt to squat, I have painm as if my ligaments/tendons are stiffening. I am not new to exercise and it resembles something like internal tendinitis. Does this sound like a postsurgical adhesion problem? I am not interested in further surgery, however.
