Early periodFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 28 May 1999 11:43:59 -0500 (CDT)
I have been on birth control since I was 17. I've been on Ovral specifically since I was 20. I weigh about 95 pounds and I'm currently 24. Since I've been on the pill, I have known exactly when I would get my period each month. Over the past 3 months, my period was coming later and later in the day--but still on the appropriate day. This month, I had a strange discharge 2 days before my period (it was brownish in color, similar to what I experience when I'm at the END of my period). The next day (a day before I'm supposed to get it) I got my period. Should I go to the doctor? I don't have health insurance as of yet, and I'm worried. I don't want to spend the money if I'm worried over something you think is minor of a fluke. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
