Your ovary could have been pushed out of view by adhesions. Adhesions are "sticky" scar tissue that attaches to your organs and can bind them together. Another possibility is Endometriosis which can cause the adhesions to form. Also prior surgeries can cause adhesions. here are links to adhesion (scar tissue) information: http://www.obgyn.net/english/pubs/features/wiseman/wiseman_adhesions.htm http://www.adhesions.com/welcome_main.html http://www.obgyn.net/women/conditions/hc-adhes.htm http://www.reproductivecenter.com/adhesions.html http://womenshealth.miningco.com/msubadhesions.htm here are links to endometriosis information: http://www.drkoop.com/centers/Endometriosis/ http://www.obgyn.net/cpp/cpp.htm http://www.scmc.org/reprinta.html http://www.scmc.org/questions.html http://www.drcook.com/adca5.html http://www.drcook.com/adca3.html http://www.endohelp.com/ http://www.reproductivecenter.com/radical.html http://www.reproductivecenter.com http://www.womenssurgerygroup.com/ OBGYN.net - Painful Periods by D.
