I dont see why not, many have a nurse in the room while they examine you, and thats a perfect stranger! My step-sister went in with me during my first exam, since I was scared to death. My husband however, never really was interested. I think we had a post about this once before, maybe you should look it up. Anyway, as long as you are comfortable with it, and inform the doctor of this request, I dont see why there would be a problem.
