What sort of popping noises are you referring to? When I was 7 mos pregnant with my daughter I heard strange popping noises too. The first time DH and I were in bed and I was doing kick counts. Baby settled down and all of a sudden we heard a loud pop. I thought my water broke and had him run to the linen closset for towels. Well, no water anywhere and we were confused about the noise. It sounded just like someone cracking a knuckle.

We mentioned it to the OB and he had never heard of it before and neither had any of his associates.

DH and I heard the noise on occasion but naturally never while in for an OB appointment! After my daughter was born I noticed her right shoulder would make that popping sound once in a while so I imagine that was the cause. This was my 5th pregnancy and I never heard that before.

When do you hear the water movement? Is it after you drink something?

This is interesting. :)
