hormone replacement at menopauseFrom: Anne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 7 May 1999 08:13:40 -0500 (CDT)
After having a hysterectomy 2 years ago and retaining one ovary, I am into menopause. I have tried three oral estrogens and have experienced nausea and vomiting with each of them. After my hysterectomy, I was on the Climara Patch for a short time- had Lupron prior to surgery. I am also on Prometrium at bedtime- had a supracervical hysterectomy- have a small amount of endometrial tissue. My cholesterol is slightly elevated and the LDL's are also slightly up. Can anyone offer any help in resolving the nausea/vomiting problem? Has anyone seen good cardiac protection with the patch ?- I feel so good on it. Appreciate your help.
