Doctors, My name is Lisa, and my husband and I live in the bay area. We are both 31 years old and have been pregnant twice. Unfortunately, both of my pregnancies ended in my 7th month of pregnancy. My first daughter's heart just stopped beating and after a complete autopsy, no answers were discovered. "Just nature" was what we were told. My second daughter had a massive tumor on her liver and was dying of congestive heart failure when I was induced for labor. I delivered both of them stillborn. We were told that we can try again and be successful, but could not handle another tragedy should another pregnancy end! We have decided we are more interested in becoming parents than how we become parents, and have started spreading the word that we are hoping to adopt a healthy newborn baby! We are trying to reach as many people as we can. We considered going through an agency/facilitator to find a "match" for us, but we are upset about the cost to use them! We are currently having a home study completed and are working with an adoption attorney in Santa Cruz so we will have the legal side of things ready when we find a baby (or should I say, when a birthmother finds us). If any of your patients, or anyone you know might be considering placing their baby for adoption, please forward them our name and information. Our website contains our profile and letters from family and friends. The address is http://members.aol.com/ldas11497/ and we can be reached at home 408-984-8119 or email at ldas11497@aol.com We appreciate any help you can offer us. Our hearts are aching for a baby and we are turning to everyone we can in hopes to start our family. Thank you. Lisa and Richard
