Re: Bicornuate Uterus........Is SURGERY my ONLY option?!?!??

I, too, have a bicornuate uterus. My doc suggested surgery as a LAST ditch effort. He said that the surgery itself COULD cause more miscarriage/implantation problems because such a large amount of the muscle would have to be removed and that MAY, in turn, cause a lot of scar tissue to form, which mean less good surface area for a good implantation. (nice, long run-on sentence, sorry)

Also, from what I've read, such early miscarriages are a separate issue from the bicornuate uterus. Supposedly, bicornuate uteri don't tend to affect pregnancies until the 2nd trimester.

Good luck, Tisha
