For the past two months, I have been bleeding almost continously for the whole month with a break of 5-7 days in between. The bleeding is very heavy and is bright red in color. My doctor said this may be a side effect of birth control pills but I have been on them for 5 years and this has never happened before. Also, I am having severe pain around my tail bone-I can't even sit down or stand up from sitting without pain in my tail bone and upper legs. Could the bleeding be related to this? Should I see a different doctor other than GYN?
