now confused & frustratedFrom: shannon (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 28 Apr 1999 12:44:07 -0500 (CDT)
On 4/21 I posted a message re:hypothalamic amenorrhea and had questions about GH testing. Well, the good news was I don't need a bone marrow sample taken since the last GH test was with in range. The bad news is that the endo told me that there is nothing he can do for me. I can't believe that there is nothing to do he said to just stay on the Cycrin forever and look into adoption - at 27 that sounds a little harsh. So my questions are: 1) Is there any treatment for hypopituitarism or hypothalamic amenorrhea? 2) Could fatigue, irratibilty, and loss of sex drive be related to this? 3) Is this condition permenant? Do people every just start ovulating on their own? Sorry to ask so many questions I just seem to be getting different answers from my doctors .
